About the Project:

In Fall 2021, Gloucester began construction on our second new elementary school, which will bring about 33% more Gloucester school children into modern buildings that will support 21st century educational standards and innovation. The new combined East Gloucester/Veterans Memorial Elementary School will educate 440 students in grades K-5, with technology-equipped classrooms, spaces designed to accommodate small group learning, and beautifully designed outdoor spaces for play and safe arrival and dismissal. The new school will be lighter, safer, and more spacious with room for project-based learning, special education classrooms, art, and music. The community will have access to a new gym and auditorium, a soccer field, and playgrounds.
